WHO WE ARE

Al-Habibiyyah is an Islamic think-tank whose areas of activities cut across Education - Islamic and Western - Dawah and Mosque project as well as other Islamic activities. It is the Group’s desire not only to create a genuine leadership for the Muslim “Ummah” in the stated activities but also to be abreast of other challenges of the present-day world.

Toward the realization of these goals, we shall endeavour at all times to be at the forefront of the vanguard of Islamic propagation, both in Nigeria and in all corners of the globe, inviting all to  the glorious path of Islam through personal conduct as a good and obedient servants of Allah. Dawah, Islamic and secular education, inter-religious dialogue, provision of counseling and healthcare, welfare assistance to all manner of people and the advancement of Islamic culture in all facets of human activities, shall be our concern.

We shall join hands with our fellow Muslims and other Islamic organizations in instilling the fear of Allah (SWT) in Muslims in both leadership and followership positions as it pleases Allah to assign them during their transient stay on earth.

Our Board of Trustees is made up of tested elders who have excelled in various areas of endeavours. They include Alhaji O. O. Muhammad, former Board Chairman, Wema Bank Plc; Alhaji Musilu Smith, CFR, former Inspector General of Police; and Hajia Khadijah Rufai, mni, former Permanent Secretary, Salaries, Income and Wages Commission, Hon. Justices Mustapha Akanbi, former Chairman, ICPC and Muhammadu Lawal Uwais, GCON, former Chief Justice of Nigeria, are our Grand Patrons.
As a practical approach to the realization of the objectives of the Academy, we began at inception the introduction of a unique four-month extensive Quranic and Islamic education specifically designed for busy executives in the public and private sectors.

It is now popularly known as Executive Four-Month Quranic Course. The tremendous success of the unique interactive Quranic reading programme has been attested to by scores of its graduates who not only acquired the needed skills but have also imbibed the fundamentals of the religion of Islam. Insha-Allah, the Academy shall, in no distant future, provide qualitative kindergarten, nursery/primary and secondary education. Arabic language studies for adult and young people have come on stream; Information and Communications Technology (ICT) courses shall be accorded pride of place.

Educational activities at the Academy shall include inculcation of Islamic morals and values in our youths in a good environment that is conductive for learning. Not to be left out of the Academy are well-stocked library facilities, a well equipped hospital, and staff quarters for personnel and a modest guest house.

Funding of the Academy since inception has been through individual contributions, school fees from the Four-month Quranic Reading courses and donations from Muslims with a strong sense of duty and responsibility towards the divine obligation of spreading the tenets of Islam through learning.

Imam Adeyemi Ademola Fuad ,a University of Ibadan graduate of Arabic and Islamic studies who, for decades, has been in active propagation of Islam and the teaching of Arabic language as well as Islamic studies, is the Director. He has participated in many national and international conferences, courses and training programmes. In 2005, he participated in the United States Department-run International Visitors Programme. Currently, he presents a number of interactive Islamic religious programmes including “Ar-Risalah” on NTA Plus, Abuja. He is a known contributor to many other Islamic programmes.
